Cruise Reflections

I learned this week that my photo was selected for the Diamond Show at Fine Art Galley in Hot Springs. I will be framing it this weekend. This was taken on our last cruise trip in Mexico. I was walking around the ship taking photos and happened to look up and saw the reflections in the glass. My photo not quite like the one I have here. I changed it some and can’t wait to see it framed. If your in Hot Springs, AR, next month be sure stop in.

It is hot, steamy, muggy and July. Suppose to be, at least in Arkansas. We did have a two day break of dry air,, awww so nice but to short. Tonight, we have fireworks at the lake. Will work on getting new firework pictures. I’m in the process getting pictures ready for “Small Works on Paper.” Sent some to Hot Springs for the Diamond Show and waiting on results.

Hot Day

This June has been overly hot. Usually don’t get these types of temperatures until July. That doesn’t sound encouraging. Getting back into my photography. Got my mom settle in and now I don’t have to spend as much time with her. Sent off three entries to the Diamond Show in Hot Springs. I mailed one photograph to this gallery in Hot Springs and it might had been cheaper to drive it down here myself. Shipping has really gone up. I’m now working on Small Works. It is always exciting to see what if any will be accepted.

Sunset Glow was Accepted

Just learned today that this photo was accepted in the Hot Springs Fine Art Gallery in the “Sea of Love” show. The show will open on July 2 and run through August 30. If your in Hot Springs, stop in and enjoy the show.
This was taken at Orange Beach before the oil spill. Thankfully, I got several beach scenes with colorful umbrellas. It was one of those things when I was laying out catching the rays when the thought overtook me to get up and take pictures of the multi color umbrellas.
New contests are popping up and I’m anxious to get started and sending photos in.

Hello June

Man, it didn’t take it long for June to arrive. If I don’t watch out, summer will be gone before I know it. My daughter were talking about how we messed up over this Memorial weekend. We should had gone down to the Gulf, to Orange Beach before the oil ruins the beaches. Right now, the beaches are ok, no oil. If you never been there, the beaches have white, fine sand. So nice. With the oil spill heading that way, I just don’t see it ever being the same. I hope these beaches can escape this disaster but I just don’t see how they can. With hurricane season starting, I can’t imagine what will happen.
